As President and Founder, Frank manages our company's business end as well as practicing fire protection engineering. Frank leads the successful team at the Indianapolis Office. Guiding the firm through 25 years of continuing growth and prosperity, he also has contributed to the technical NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Code. Currently focusing on health care fire and life safety issues, he mentors young engineers on their way to excellence.

PAUL J. VILLOTTI, P.E.
Vice President

Paul is the Vice President and manager of the Kansas City Office.

With a wide variety of experience and multiple roles in fire protection, Paul currently leads the Code Consulting group. Focusing on world class sports facilities has allowed him to use a wide array of fire protection design tools to address the complex exiting, smoke exhaust and fire protection design issues necessary to ensure safety for hundreds and thousands of fans.

DONALD C. BIRCHLER, P.E.

Leader of the Design Team and Co-Founder of the Kansas City Office, Don's 20+ years experience is only outdone by his contribution to fire protection design in the power industry.

Sitting on the NFPA 850 (non-nuclear power generating committee), NFPA 101 and NFPA 5000, he has taken his talents overseas providing fire protection design in the Middle East.

MICHAEL KOOP, P.E.

Michael with his specialized training in fluid dynamics and heat transfer, heads the fire modeling activities at FP&C Consultants. He uses computational fluid dynamics for complex arrangements and two zone models to confirm simpler designs. These efforts have been very successful in developing designs for atriums and sports facilities' smoke exhaust systems.

BETH ALEXANDER

Beth's unsurpassed experience in hospital design offers the community trustworthy solutions in an extremely delicate industry. She also participates in FSES surveys and insurance surveys. Her experience as an Industrial Risk Specialist makes her a valuable asset to industrial clients.

JEFF SCOTT, P.E.

Jeff's technical skills have advanced our design approaches so much that it seems like he's the founder of sound design. Clients appreciate his constant dedication and attention to detail and their projects. They especially enjoy his expert and economically sensitive design solutions.

JUSTIN BURTON

Adding strength to the code consulting staff, Justin's expertise in building construction techniques, construction sequence and material selection & use resolved many fire resistive assembly issues. His wide range of knowledge allows him to contribute to the many project types in the office.

SEAN REMKE

Sean is an integral part of the design group. He is involved with all aspects of sprinkler and fire alarm design on all new and existing buildings. His experience and understanding of existing facilities allow efficient and effective designs to be implemented.

JEFF BRESETTE

Being a Certified Building Official allows Jeff to be involved in all aspects of the code consulting group, plan review, construction inspections & investigations, acceptance testing, site surveys and equivalency presentations.

MELINDA JONES, P.E.

Melinda keeps the design group running by performing design and construction administration of fire suppression and alarm systems, specification writing and submittal review.

BETHANY VORTHMANN

Bethany's architectural degree and background compliment the engineering mindset in the office. Active in all aspects of the code consulting group, she has proven code enforcement experience that allows her to communicate with building officials effectively and with understanding.

JOSH SHERIDAN

Josh is a key player in the design team. He has participated in numerous site visits as well as acceptance tests. His superior knowledge and understanding of fire suppression and fire alarm design allows him to design dependable and financially sensible solutions for all building types.

JAE KIM

Jae assists the design group in a myriad of ways including his involvement in site surveys and creating as-built drawings of existing buildings. His design approach is efficiently executed and extremely thorough.

MICHAEL POHL

Mike assists the project managers in all technical aspects, under the mentorship of Don. He is continuously growing in his technical knowledge and ability to contribute to the design team. He has participated in numerous acceptance tests as well as site visits.

STEVE FLETCHER

As a technician, Steve assists the project managers in fire protection design through CAD as well as accompanying them on site visits. Under Frank's mentorship, he continues to grow in knowledge and value to our clients.
