Fire Protection Engineering and Consulting

Fire Protection Engineers and Consultants apply science and engineering principles to protect life, property, business operations, and the environment from fire. Rooted in disciplines such as mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and chemical engineering they work in teams to apply cutting edge research tools to address the various challenges of the ever-changing global environment.

Fire Protection Engineers design egress systems based on human behavior and protective components such as fire sprinkler and alarm systems, exit and smoke control systems. They engineer safe buildings and facilities using the latest principles of fire protection design.

Fire Protection Consultants provide code compliance studies and system evaluations, evaluate building life safety issues and provide fire protection master planning. They perform risk analyses of major industrial facilities and consult with architects on buildings ranging from high rise structures to hospitals, hotels and sports venues.

CAD Designing

Computer-aided design or CAD designers are responsible for all stages of the creative process, which includes client consultation, drafting and presentation of the finished design. CAD Designers review Engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and code standards. They receive instruction and guidelines from lead Engineers or CAD Leaders to perform the functions required by each project.

Administrative Assistants

As the reliance on technology continues to expand, the role of the office professional has greatly evolved. Administrative assistants perform such tasks as: create spreadsheets, compose correspondence and manage databases. They also create presentations, reports, and documents using various business software and programs. They are aided in these tasks by a variety of office equipment, such as photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, and video-conferencing and telephone systems. Administrative assistants provide training and orientation for new staff, conduct research on the Internet, and operate and troubleshoot office technologies. Administrative assistants work with all members of the staff in order to support each project through to its completion.
